JPI EDM File Decoder
Upload JPI File
Select a JPI (.jpi) or PDB (.pdb) file from your JPI engine monitor to begin decoding.
About This Tool
This page was created out of my frustration to find a simple, free tool to decode JPI engine monitor files. Existing solutions include setting up a virtual machine with a legacy, unsupported version of Windows to run the software to decode or create a paid subscription account with a third-party service. It's your data and you should have free access to it. Enjoy!
The JPI EDM File Decoder allows you to decode and analyze flight data from JPI (JP Instruments) engine monitoring systems. Upload your .JPI or .PDB files to view detailed flight information including engine temperatures, pressures, GPS coordinates, and more.
How to Use:
- Upload - Select your JPI or PDB file using the file picker above
- Time Zone - The time zone is automatically detected from your browser. Change it if your flights were recorded in a different time zone
- Review - View aircraft information and flight data in easy-to-read tables
- Export - Download individual flights as CSV files for analysis in Excel or other tools
- Visualize - For flights with GPS data, export KML files to view flight paths in Google Earth
Supported Models:
This decoder supports the following JPI engine monitor models:
- EDM-700/730/760/790/800/830/900/930/960 - Primary Multifunction Display (MFD) models
